Volunteers & Interns

Volunteers, including student volunteers, are most welcome. They work varying hours on many different kinds of projects as needed. Some cover dust jackets with mylar. Some process gift books. Some pull books for special projects. Some help with conferences and programs. Some, with particular skills, work on specialized projects like grant writing, entering contests, or making custom-fitted boxes to hold fragile old books. If you would like to become a volunteer, please call us at 559-278-8116 or send e-mail to Thanks to all our volunteers!

The Center has hosted undergraduate and graduate students from several universities as interns. Internships can be customized to accommodate special needs of the Center and the student. The Curator will work with the student's university to arrange credit. Volunteer internships may also be arranged.
