Tim Hamilton's graphic novel adaptation of Fahrenheit 451

Books are Burning at Fresno's Big Read ~ Fahrenheit 451 ~

March 19, 2010 ~ 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. ~ Come hear graphic novelist Tim Hamilton as he discusses his authorized adaption of Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451. The Arne Nixon Center is teaming up once again with the Fresno County Public Library as part of this year’s Big Read event. The featured book, Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 will be celebrated throughout Fresno County.

Tim Hamilton’s presentation will be held in the Woodward Park Branch Library located at 944 E. Perrin in Fresno beginning at

Join us for a "Wicked" Garden Party

April 11, 2010 ~ 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. ~ There will be no cyclones, flying monkeys, or apple-throwing trees, but you might see a Wicked Witch at the eighth annual Secret Garden Party. Held in a spacious north Fresno garden, the party will feature songs from "Wicked," the hit Broadway musical, and other Ozzy surprises. Funds raised will support the programs and collections of the Arne Nixon Center, including a national Oz conference planned for May 14-16, 2010.
