Monetary Donations
Donations to the Arne Nixon Center are used to purchase books and materials.
Donations also support processing costs and help to fund publications, exhibitions,
and public programs. Your tax-deductible gift to the Arne Nixon Center will help
to preserve children's literature materials for generations to come.
Donations are tax-deductible as allowable by law.
Current fundraising efforts focus on the purchase of a
Lewis Carroll collection of 2,000 items.

Planned Giving
Planned giving of materials or monetary donations, by mentioning the Arne Nixon Center
in your will, is another way to support the work of the Center.
Materials Donations
Gifts of appropriate books, ceramic plates, or figurines, new or used, help to enrich the collection.
Materials donated to the Arne Nixon Center may be, at the discretion of the Curator,
incorporated into the collection, exchanged for other materials, or otherwise disposed of
as the Curator may deem proper.
The value of materials donated to the Arne Nixon Center since its opening is estimated
at more than $100,000.

Papers of Authors and Illustrators
Authors, illustrators, editors, agents, publishers, and others connected with the creation
of children's literature are invited to donate books, foreign language editions, papers, manuscripts,
research materials, correspondence, fan mail, E-mail, and artwork. Such materials help to
document the creation, production, and marketing process for children's books.
