Tamora Pierce spoke for a Summer Arts class at Fresno State entitled "Cultures of Childhood." She donated many copies of her books to the Center.

Leo Politi, 1908-2008, was a close friend of Arne Nixon’s, who spoke often at Professor Nixon’s programs. The Center owns dozens of pieces of his original art as well as all his picture books, beautifully inscribed to Arne Nixon and others. In 2009 a Leo Politi Garden, funded by ANCA, the Arne Nixon Center Advocates, will be built outside the new Henry Madden Library.

Sean Qualls donated original art to the Arne Nixon Center.

Daniel San Souci spoke at the Center's Children's Literature Festival in 2002.

Robert San Souci spoke at the Center's Children's Literature Festival in 2002. He donated his papers to the Center in 2007. A friend of Arne Nixon, he dedicated the book The Faithful Friend to Dr. Nixon.

Eric Shanower donated his design for a book plate to honor Michael Cart.

Linda Joy Singleton donated her papers and books to the Center in 2007.
