Aliki spoke at Arne Nixon’s Children’s Literature Festivals. In 2005 she donated papers and original art to the Center. She spoke here in 2007. In 2008 she created and donated original art for the Center’s Web site.

Alma Flor Ada, a member of the Center’s Advisory Board, is giving her papers (ongoing donation) and books to the Center. She spoke here in 2006.

Avi presented at the Authors Readers Theater program in 2007.

Phyllis Bixler spoke at the Frances Hodgson Burnett conference in 2003.

Walter R. Brooks, 1886-1958, was the author of the Freddy the Pig series. Michael Cart is donating the library of Walter R. Brooks to the Center.

Nick Bruel donated orginal art and graciously allowed the Center to adapt art from his book Bad Kitty for promotional materials in 2006.

F. Isabel Campoy has pledged her papers and books to the Arne Nixon Center. She spoke at the 2006 ANCA Annual Meeting with Alma Flor Ada.

Angelica Shirley Carpenter, the Center’s founding Curator, edited In the Garden: Essays in Honor of Frances Hodgson Burnett, based on conferences she organized at Fresno State. She gives talks about the Center and about her own books in many locations.

Michael Cart, a founding member of the Center’s Governing Committee, has donated thousands of books, his papers(ongoing donation), and the library of Walter R. Brooks. He has spoken here on many occasions and is a contributor to In the Garden: Essays in Honor of Frances Hodgson Burnett. He wrote about the Arne Nixon Center in his book Passions and Pleasures: Essays and Speeches about Literature and Libraries.

Evelyn Coleman spoke at a reception hosted by ANCA at the African American Museum in 2001.

Susan Cooper donated foreign language editions of her books.

Sharon Creech presented at the the Authors Readers Theater program in 2007 and donated numerous editions of her books in foreign languages.

Karen Cushman spoke at the Center's opening in 2001 and again for the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators in 2008. She donated foreign language editions of her books.

Chris Crutcher was a guest teacher for the Summer Arts class "Writing the Worlds of Childhood: The Art of Writing for Children" at Fresno State in 2002. He also spoke at the ANCA Ice Cream Social at the Fig Garden Swim and Racquet Club.

Grace E. Davis thanked the Center in her book The Gift of Loss: How to Raise Emotionally Resilient Children.

Terry Davis was a guest teacher for the Summer Arts class "Writing the Worlds of Childhood: The Art of Writing for Children" for at Fresno State. He spoke at the ANCA Ice Cream Social at the Fig Garden Swim and Racquet Club with Chris Crutcher.

Glenn DeVoogd thanked the Center in his book Critical Literacy: Enhancing Students’ Comprehension of Text , and taught a 2008 summer school course designed to acquaint teachers with the Center.

Berlie Doherty spoke at the Children's Literature Association meeting hosted by the Center in 2004.

Brian Doyle spoke at the Children's Literature Association meeting hosted by the Center in 2004.

Deborah Druley spoke at the Frances Hodgson Burnett conference in 2003 and is a contributor to In the Garden: Essays in Honor of Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Lois Duncan donated foreign language editions of her books.

Margarita Engle donated her papers (ongoing donation) and books, and original art by Sean Qualls. She spoke at several Center events and thanked the Center in her book The Surrender Tree.

Sid Fleishman spoke at Arne Nixon's Children's Literature Festivals and at the Center's Children's Literature Festival in 2002. He spoke again for Fresno's Big Read program in March 2009.

Paul Frobose spoke at the Frances Hodgson Burnett conference in 2003 and is a contributor to In the Garden: Essays in Honor of Frances Hodgson Burnett.
