Arne Nixon Center General Collection

Leo Politi sketch of Arne Nixon

The Center's fast-growing collection of about 50,000 books began with a donation from Arne Nixon. In 1995 Professor Nixon donated 22,000 books to the Library. When he died in 1997, he left the Library a generous bequest to establish the Arne Nixon Center. The books, dating from 1865 to the present, are international and multicultural in scope. Some materials are not cataloged.
